“The Liquidator” Wins Leo Award for Best Direction in Lifestyle/Information Category
Fred Frame, long time director with Anaïd Productions, one of Canada’s leading independent production companies, has won the 2015 Leo Award for Best Direction in the highly successful television series, The Liquidator.
“It’s always nice to be recognized by your peers and for that I’m very grateful,” said Fred “As everyone in our business knows, TV is a collaborate effort to the extreme. This award represents the hard work of everyone involved and to Anaid Productions, Margaret Mardirossian, and her incredible team, and to Jeff Schwarz, our Liquidator, I’d like to say thanks and well done! It’s an award we all share.” The show’s colourful season three episode “Redneck Round-Up” was nominated in the ‘Lifestyle’ category. When headstrong haggler extraordinaire Jeff Schwarz heads into the Californian desert looking for smokin’ deals, his in-your-face approach starts to backfire.
The Liquidator is currently in production on its fourth season, which is airing new episodes every Thursday night on OLN. We watch Jeff Schwarz, owner of Burnaby-based Direct Liquidation, as he flies from one jaw-dropping deal to the next, liquidating some of the most outrageous goods anyone has ever seen. In this season, Jeff has raised the stakes as he goes for even riskier and outlandish transactions that take him as far east as the tropical islands of Indonesia, and as rural as Swan River, Manitoba.
The Liquidator is produced by Anaïd Productions in association with Rogers Media Inc., with the participation of the Canada Media Fund, Rogers Telefund, and the Province of British Columbia, and with the assistance of the Alberta Media Fund and the Canadian Film or Video Production Tax Credit Program.
